Control cabinet cooling

Peltier cooling is often used for cooling control cabinets. The electronics inside the cabinet generate heat. It is not always possible to remove this heat using a conventional cooling method like fans. It could be the cooling capacity is too low for this, but also that the required IP-class will not be maintained.

Peltier cooling is an excellent method to actively cool the cabinet. Despite the fact that the cooler will be mounted through the cabinet wall, we can maintain the desired IP-class. Please contact us if you want to know more about this.

In general the air-to-air cooling principle is used to cool control cabinets. Other options are possible too, i.e. cooling directly on the object that generates heat (direct-to-air cooling).

 

The use of a Peltier cooler for cooling a control cabinet also has many other advantages, including:

  • Easy installation
  • Optimally controllable, so there is no overcapacity in cooling capacity (energy efficient)
  • Long lifespan
  • Standard power supply: 12VDC, 24VDC or 48VDC
